It's pouring rain outside, heavy tropical rain. We had good food in the café, ate a delicious piece of homemade chocolate cake and enjoyed a Lao coffee. Now, we wait for the rain to stop. The children play upstairs in the exhibition room, a room fitted with photographs of the town, in colonial and modern times, and many carpets and cushions on the floor. We browse through the available tourist information. A very nice place for an extended stop.
